LINE DANCING: We have a suggestion for line dancing, which STEFANIE and ERIC have volunteered to lead (or did somebody else volunteer them?) I think it would be a lot of fun. This might be a good activity for Friday night after dinner. Will we be able to use the same sound system the musicians will be setting up to play music from CDs for line dancing? If not, what do we need and who can supply it?
KARAOKE: Has anybody found a Karaoke machine yet? We'd like to borrow or rent a system with song list and whatever else is needed. Anyone have any ideas? Ideally the source should be near Stratford, unless someone who will be DRIVING to the Reunion can get one and bring it along.
Please comment on the blog if you can help with either of these activities.

LINE DANCING: I'm pretty sure Stef (Johnson) Ketelsen and Erik Holt know that they are our line dancing instructors! They are both really, really good at it!! Here's an idea.....Stef and Erik, if either one of you has an ipod, maybe you could do a music grouping of songs you know you can instruct a bunch of novices to. We could be sure whatever sound system is rented or brought, is compatible to the ipod.
ReplyDeleteKARAOKE: I've been keeping an eye out for a used karaoke machine at garage sales, without success so far. Fall back plan, is renting one local to Iowa. Anyone else had any success?
ReplyDeleteKARAOKE: Let me do some checking up here in Minneapolis for a karaoke machine. It's an easy transport and most are compatible with modern day sound systems.
ReplyDeleteI bought a karaoke machine at a garage sale recently, but we will need to rent either a big screen or TV, as well as microphones (it only has one mic with it) so that more people can participate at the same time, or maybe someone else has a better idea. I haven't bothered figuring out how the thing works either (sorry). It will be fine if someone comes up with a rental, or a better machine to make it work so more people can participate at the same time. (Or abandon the idea all together.....doesn't matter to me.)
